The Kenya Home Energy Storage Project targets unstable grid power and frequent outages for local households, building a self-sufficient home energy ecosystem by integrating solar and storage technologies. It deploys an intelligent storage system with three wall-mounted Growatt inverters and three stacked Sun Force lithium battery packs (51.2V, 17kWh per unit, 51kWh total capacity). The system connects to home solar panels or the grid, storing surplus energy during peak sunlight (or off-peak grid hours) and supplying stable power to all household loads (e.g., lighting, fridges, TVs) at night, on cloudy days, or during outages.
Implementation is tailored to household needs First, assess electricity consumption and solar compatibility. Then, install inverters on walls (space-saving, wall-adaptive) and battery packs on the floor (compatible with garages, storage rooms, etc.), with an intelligent control system automating charge-discharge.
The project delivers multiple values
· Uninterrupted Power: Ensures continuous operation of critical appliances like fridges and oxygen machines, eliminating outage anxiety;
· Cost Optimization: Stores solaroff-peak grid power to avoid high-rate hours, slashing electricity bills;
· Green Low-Carbon:Maximizes solar utilization, reducing fossil fuel dependence and supporting household carbon neutrality;
· Comfort Upgrade: Stable power enables 247 operation of ACs and smart devices, enhancing living experience.
